We are product development and sourcing consultants, specializing in working with global artisan resources.

Based in Marrakech, we are surrounded by unending streams of rich handicraft traditions. With over 24 years of experience, we have the largest selection of products as well as the most vetted artisan network in all of Morocco. We believe in celebrating and preserving traditional craftsmanship, empowering artisan communities, and bringing Moroccan techniques to the forefront of modern design.

We are also one of the only environmentally-focused agencies in Morocco. We source items with a low environmental impact and use 100% recycled packaging. Our role is to be our buyer’s main source of contact from start to finish by overseeing sourcing and design, as well as packaging, shipping, and quality control. 

Said Mirche | Co-OWNER and PRODUCTION MANAGER

Said is the co-owner of Alcantara-Frederic and a former master craftsman of lanterns. Said uses his diverse relationships with Moroccan craftspeople to pair finely skilled artisans to the project at hand and oversees the production process from start to finish.

ASMAA BENABDOU | Marketing and Operations manager

Asmaa manages all client communications by coordinating product and design specifications, labeling, shipping, and production timelines. She handles all marketing and sales efforts for ALCANTARA CO. Administrative and financial management + high-level business management skills.

Mohamed Benkerroum | Packaging manager

Mohamed oversees all packaging operations for Alcantara-Frederick, and works to ensure consistent, quality, and responsible packaging protocols specific to each client’s specifications.

Said Moutabia | Production assistant

Said helps facilitate production by managing internal communication with Moroccan craftspeople. Said also oversees all postproduction and quality control in addition to performing general administrative and office tasks.
