The Journey Behind the Craft
Said Mirche began his journey as a master craftsman, working with brass and metal in traditional Moroccan workshops. His expertise was not learned in theory, but forged through years of hands-on practice.
Over time, his deep understanding of materials, techniques, and artisans allowed him to build an unparalleled network across Morocco — spanning souks, cooperatives, and remote craft regions.
Today, Said acts as the backbone of sourcing operations, ensuring that every artisan, every product, and every collaboration meets the highest standards of authenticity and quality.
“You don’t find the best artisans online. You find them by sitting with them.”
ATA Project: Empowering Artisans
Strengthening and promoting the Moroccan handicraft sector across key regions renowned for their rich artisanal traditions.
Said Mirche worked as Consultant for the ATA (Aid to Artisans) Projects, an initiative focused on strengthening and promoting the Moroccan handicraft sector.
The primary objective of the project was to support artisans and the families of target youth by enhancing their technical, creative, and business capacities, enabling them to improve their livelihoods and access broader market opportunities.
Through a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and hands-on training activities, participants were equipped with the skills necessary to develop competitive, high-quality handicraft products that meet contemporary market requirements.
