Morocco is rich to many natural minerals such as selentine (aka moon stone - named after its milky, transparent appearance), marble, and fossils. Found deep within the Sahara, each material has its own unique qualities and distinctive look. Hand-cut and polished by craftsmen, these natural materials can be manipulated to create sculptures, bookends, ashtrays, candles, storage boxes and larger pieces such as fountains and sinks.
