Native to Marrakech, Tadelakt is made with the limestone of the Marrakech Plateau. Tadelakt—which is the Arabic word for "rub" or "massage"—is crafted by mixing lime plaster with olive soap to create a soft, even texture. Traditionally used to coat walls and baths of traditional hammams, it can also be used to create unique pottery and ceramics.
